Free water ski shows every Sunday and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Come see the fun and amazing shows on the Rock River.  The Backwater Gamblers Water Ski Club is a family-oriented organization with families making up 68 percent of the team's 150+ members. Club members consist of both skiers and non-skiers, all of whom are important to presenting the best water ski show possible.

In the heart of the Midwest, there are two historic houses gifted to the Quad Cities, and its future visitors, by the descendants of John Deere. The Family Museum is a children’s museum designed for children eight and younger to engage in imaginative play. Visitors to the Family Museum’s interactive exhibit gallery discover how food moves from the modern farm to the local store by caring for animals, driving a combine, and moving grain in the Farm exhibit. Guests explore the Mississippi River by adding obstacles and raising or lowering water levels as they watch their boat make its journey down a 28-foot indoor waterplay table resembling an actual stretch of the Mississippi River. John Deere Classic
The mission of the John Deere Classic, a non-for-profit corporation, is to conduct a PGA TOUR sanctioned professional golf tournament that will contribute positively to the quality of life in our community. The John Deere Classic also strives to provide growing annual financial contributions to charities in our area, as well as promote volunteerism. Through the golf tournament and various tournament programs, our main goal is to provide a positive economic impact to the community. The John Deere Classic takes pride in being a family-friendly event. There is something for everyone and all ages at the Classic! Hours of operation: July 5 – 9, 2023 (Gates open at 6 am each day) Wednesday, July 5, 2023 is First Tee Youth Day and the first 500 kids will receive a free goodie bag with a hat, bobblehead, stickers and other coupons and goodies starting at 10 AM. There is a Youth Clinic hosted by a special guest on the Driving Range at 3 PM as well. The tournament offers a youth ticketing policy: 15 and under are FREE with a paid adult every day (Wed – Sun).
