Free water ski shows every Sunday and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Come see the fun and amazing shows on the Rock River.  The Backwater Gamblers Water Ski Club is a family-oriented organization with families making up 68 percent of the team's 150+ members. Club members consist of both skiers and non-skiers, all of whom are important to presenting the best water ski show possible.

This home was a wedding present from Charles and Mary Deere to their daughter, Katherine, and her husband William Butterworth. Butterworth was the third CEO of Deere & Company (1907-1928). Built in 1892, the Butterworth’s named the home Hillcrest, tripling its size over time, including a library addition in 1917 that features an 18th century Italian ceiling painting. Today, the Butterworth Center & Deere-Wiman House are operated by the William Butterworth Foundation. They serve as year-round sites for quality educational and cultural events, meeting space for nonprofit organizations, and offer tours of local, national, and international visitors. The "Celebration Belle" is a 750 passenger paddle-wheel boat, specifically designed for cruising the waterways of the great Mississippi River, offering narrated lunch and sightseeing cruises, Captain's dinner cruises along with many other cruise options and special events. We offer various cruises to meet any sailor’s enjoyment needs! The Narrated Lunch Cruise is a 1 1/2 hour cruise and includes a full hot 2 entree lunch buffet. All meals are prepared fresh onboard by our chefs. After lunch sit back, take in the scenery and sights, enjoy a cool beverage, and relax while we cruise the Mississippi. You will learn about the rich history of the Quad Cities along with viewing and learning about: The Rock Island Arsenal Lock and Dam #15 and Roller Dam Colonel Davenport’s Home The location where the first bridge to cross the Mississippi River. (Note, a young Illiniois attorney defended that bridge and became our 16th President). See how he makes it look so easy to maneuver this 1080 ton vessel! Our Captain's Dinner, is a popular favorite, as we have the best prime rib on the Mississippi River! You will enjoy a 2 1/2 hour cruise, a 3-entree dinner and fabulous live entertainment onboard. There is a dance floor! Take a stroll up to the 2 observation decks, sit outside and enjoy the scenic views and beautiful sunset. There are full bars onboard to purchase your favorite beverages. Browse the gift shop on the 3rd deck and make sure to say hello to your Captain in the pilot house.

The Family Museum is a children’s museum designed for children eight and younger to engage in imaginative play. Visitors to the Family Museum’s interactive exhibit gallery discover how food moves from the modern farm to the local store by caring for animals, driving a combine, and moving grain in the Farm exhibit. Guests explore the Mississippi River by adding obstacles and raising or lowering water levels as they watch their boat make its journey down a 28-foot indoor waterplay table resembling an actual stretch of the Mississippi River. Visitors chat with neighbors or wave to the mail carrier in the Town Square exhibit which includes features of everyday life. In addition to the gallery space, guests can take the Luckey Climber to the second story Imagination Studio to create anything their imagination can come up with!

The Figge Art Museum is the premier art exhibition and education facility between Chicago and Des Moines. Its landmark glass building on the banks of the Mississippi, designed by British architect David Chipperfield, is home to one of the Midwest’s finest art collections, and presents world-class traveling exhibitions. The mission of the John Deere Classic, a non-for-profit corporation, is to conduct a PGA TOUR sanctioned professional golf tournament that will contribute positively to the quality of life in our community. The John Deere Classic also strives to provide growing annual financial contributions to charities in our area, as well as promote volunteerism. Through the golf tournament and various tournament programs, our main goal is to provide a positive economic impact to the community. The John Deere Classic takes pride in being a family-friendly event. There is something for everyone and all ages at the Classic! Hours of operation: July 5 – 9, 2023 (Gates open at 6 am each day) Wednesday, July 5, 2023 is First Tee Youth Day and the first 500 kids will receive a free goodie bag with a hat, bobblehead, stickers and other coupons and goodies starting at 10 AM. There is a Youth Clinic hosted by a special guest on the Driving Range at 3 PM as well. The tournament offers a youth ticketing policy: 15 and under are FREE with a paid adult every day (Wed – Sun). There is also a special discount for older students who present their Student ID at the gate - $20 grounds passes. We can’t wait to see you out at TPC Deere Run July 5- 9, 2023.
